Father's Day Gifts: 6 Simple and Heartfelt Ideas to Download
Every year as Father's Day approaches, preschool students and teachers send me the same message:
“Ana, what kind of Father’s Day gifts can I make that are quick, inexpensive, and will really touch his heart?”
And I totally understand that question, because I've made dozens of party favors for Father's Day here in my studio over the past 12 years of experience in custom stationery.
The good news is that a Father's Day gift doesn't have to be expensive or complicated. That's why I've put together 6 ideas here that I've made, tested, and sold myself. (All are easy to put together at home and great for making with young students at school.)

Father's Day Gift Ideas
One of the most popular items I make here in my studio is the Shirt Box. It’s inexpensive to make, you can customize it with your dad’s favorite sports team, and it fits perfectly in a breakfast basket. I usually use 180g paper so it stays sturdy and doesn’t get crumpled during shipping.
Inside, you can put photos, a little note, and something to eat. I've seen moms use this same box as a gift along with a larger basket—it works really well as an addition.
1 – Super Dad T-Shirt Box
This is the simplest party favor on the list, and that's exactly why it works. Here's a tip I always give during my mentoring sessions: buy some truffles from Cacau Show and put them inside along with a handwritten note. If your child is young, help him or her write it down, because doing so turns this little keepsake into a gift that will last a lifetime—one that’s much more meaningful than anything expensive.
2 – National Team Jersey Box
Brazilians love soccer, and during the World Cup, this version featuring the national team’s jersey is always the most popular item here at the studio.

I affectionately call this one the “surprise box.” It works just like the “Shirt Box”: a little note, chocolates, photos, or even personal care items like a shaving kit. It’s one of the boxes I use most often when I need to send something quickly, because it’s really easy to put together.
4 – “Best Dad in the World” Certificate
This is perfect for early childhood educators to use with children—it’s easy to cut out and glue, and it helps develop fine motor skills. And as I always say: on this day, the value of the gift is the least important thing. The sentiment behind it is worth so much more.

5 – Personalized Chocolates
This one goes well with the previous boxes. You can customize it to reflect what your dad is all about; I made the one in the photo below for my geeky dad.
6 – Set with a Glass and Potato Chips
This kit is simple, but it’s really charming. I use a long drink glass, customize it with clear adhesive paper, and seal it with spray varnish so it doesn’t fade when washed. This varnish step is important because without it, the design wears off quickly.

See how you don’t need to spend a lot or have any experience to make your dad feel loved? Of the 6 ideas I’ve shared here, the Shirt Box and the Surprise Box are the ones I recommend most for those just starting out, because they’re quick and inexpensive. On the other hand, the Certificate and the Personalized Chocolates are great when you have a little more time and want to go the extra mile with the details.
At the end of the day, what matters isn't how much it cost, but the care you put into it. And that's what I try to bring to every little gift I make here in my studio.
